Now more than ever, people crave experiences that remind us we are human. Permission to play is essential to our ability to perform. I activate experiences that connect people, spaces that generate energy, and productions that bring the most impactful stories to life.
My Methodology
I've spent decades looking at rooms, groups, organizations, and spaces the way my MFA teacher Archie taught me to look at a prop—considering every angle, every use, every way to get the mileage needed to create compelling connections and tell the most impactful story.
I enter a room curious about what’s gone unnoticed—hidden talent, an overlooked entrance, words nobody has said out loud. I hunt* for where the matter lives.
When people ask what I love about my work I say “with an empty space, a challenge, curious people, and whatever I can get my hands on we can transform the ordinary into Aha!-mazing.”
*Fun fact: Hunter is my middle name.

The best stories aren't intentionally dormant. They're waiting to be excavated.
Devised production is unscripted exploration — of what's at hand, what lies beneath the surface, and the dynamic impact possible when we shift from stable ground to safe space. And dig.
My interview approach is inviting and relatable. I pick up on cues, notice what's left unsaid, and synthesize on and off camera observations to frame your story from multiple angles. Whether your story is expressed as a Keynote, digital presentation, personal interview, or staged experience the result is a prismatic expression of what matters most—to you.

Heidi Hunter Batz
In 9th grade civics class, I was asked what three things I wanted to do in life. For me, it was easy. I wanted to be a journalist to hear people's stories, an interpreter to help people communicate across difference, and an artist to make the world more interesting.
For thirty years I've been working at the intersection of all three. As a professional theatre artist, facilitator, leadership coach, and creative consultant, I have helped leaders and organizations across industries discover what they need to bring their best.
My path hasn't been straight. Navigating the swing between personal setbacks and professional success has taught me transformation is rarely comfortable, always possible, and most powerful when breakthroughs happen in community with others. I've come to trust curiosity, play, and healthy tension as the conditions that make it possible.
As storyteller, facilitator, and artist I hold deep appreciation for the singularity that sets individuals apart and the pluralism that draws us together. My practice encourages listening to receive rather than respond, inviting insight over exchange of information, and the belief that when we orchestrate our differences rather than silence them we can become truly exceptional.
